Eligibility

Open to MS/DNB (General Surgery) qualified doctors and final-year residents. Foundation track requires no prior laparoscopic experience; advanced and oncosurgery tracks require documented basic laparoscopic caseload.

Day-wise curriculum

Day 1-2

Core technique & simulator lab

Port placement, dissection technique, energy device handling.

Day 3-4

Assisted live OT cases

First and second assist roles in live laparoscopic procedures.

Day 5

Independent steps & review

Supervised independent operative steps, case-based debrief.

Certification

On completion, trainees receive a Solace Training Academy certificate of participation, signed by the pillar director, naming the programme, dates, and hours of hands-on exposure completed.

Yes. The Basic Laparoscopic Surgery program is specifically designed for MS/DNB Surgery graduates who have limited laparoscopic exposure and want to build foundational skills on real patients.

Each trainee operates on at least one live case per day across the 5-day program — minimum 5 supervised operative experiences including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy.
